001. "Gentle and Elegance" Nav Katze 1996
I just love this album.
Flavor: brushing the static off your CRT as you excitedly log into a forum site

Found this while trawling Youtube releases. I always find myself putting it on in the morning. It’s one of those albums that I feel like communicates the channel-surfing mash of having an OCD flareup but the intrusive thoughts are pretty pleasant. Has a weird nostalgic quality that Cartoon Network bumpers from the 2000’s have.
Flavor: 2pm home sick from school watching cable, bright yellow kitchen’s sink
Romantic and unintelligable, you gotta read the youtube video description for the story behind this find. I love how fully committed to the Sound these 3 tracks are. The long echoey guitars and a siren’s vocals overlaid just wash you over I think this album is timeless.
Flavor: one of those grey gin drinks with lavendar syrup, the silty churn of small waves on an overcast day
One of the catchiest tapestry of sounds I’ve listened to. This album lives in my kitchen.
Flavor: crackling fry oil
I’ll die on the hill that Black Table should be getting radio/artspace/coffee shop play on heavy rotation. The kind of textured rooms KLSLWSK can bring you into are probably rooms you’ve never seen get in there NOW.
Flavor: black licorice poppers
Ephemeral as its artist, who scrubbed her presence online sometime in 2019: the Bandcamp page remains for this little gem. A calm meditation of light and water, this album sang me to sleep every night for months.
Flavor: falling back asleep at 10am on the grass and not caring when you wake up, sticky rice puer
A well-known fantastic indie rock pick. Something about the cover art rly gets me. When I first found this album it was hot as hell in a Texas summer and I was sweating it out with a broken AC in my first apartment and wishing for….something.
Flavor: water drying off cement at sundown, hand rolled cigarettes but ur still learning how so it’s kinda loose n shitty n u have to put it out a lil early but that’s okay
